Day 1 Siem Reap Arrival
Flight: International flight on your own arrangement or upon request
Welcome to Siem Reap! Upon arrival, meet up with the tour guide at Siem Reap International Airport. Then, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in.
The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2 Siem Reap Biking Experience. B
Today, enjoy a relaxing and fun biking tour to explore the Angkor temples. It is an easy biking route with good roads and easy off-road conditions.
Your biking tour will start near Angkor Wat towards Angkor Thom which is the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer Empire. When you reach the South Gate of the Angkor Thom, bike along the city wall to the West Gate with a stop to visit the Corner Temple in the midway. Near the West Gate, pay a visit to the village outside the city wall where you can observe the daily life of local villagers.
After visiting the village, bike inside the Angkor Thom, and visit the Bayon Temple where you will be surrounded by 216 gigantic stone faces which fame as “Khmer Smile”. Then, tour the Terrace of Elephants, the Royal Palace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Continue to bike north to get away from the crowded tour groups, and you will bike through a quiet path flanked by trees to the Temple Preah Khan and Ta Keo Temple.
Your easy biking trip will finish in Ta Prohm Temple, which is widely known as “lost to the jungle temple”. You will be pick up by Tuk Tuk from Ta Prohm Temple and transfer back to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you to relax.

Day 3 Banteay Srei, Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Phluk.B
In the morning, head towards the deep jungle to visit Banteay Srei. The temple is carved from red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to elaborate wall carvings, which are well preserved to this day.
After lunch, take a half-day excursion to the biggest Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake – Tonle Sap Lake. You’ll take a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake views and mangrove forests. Then, tour Kompong Phluk, the largest village on the lake, to discover the fascinating daily lifestyle of the local people who live on the water.

Day 4 Siem Reap to Kratie. B
Kratie, the home of Irrawaddy Dolphin, will be great fun for kids to watch the dolphin on the Mekong River. Driving from Siem Reap to Kratie will take you about 6-7 hours. Upon arrival, check-in at the local hotel and get some rest.

Day 5 Irrawaddy Dolphin, Mekong River Kayaking. B.L
Rise up early for the sunrise over flooded forests of the mighty Mekong River. After breakfast, take a local ferry across the east bank of the Mekong River to reach Sandan. Your kayaking tour starts from here. Paddle across the river towards the west bank of the Mekong, then downstream through sand islands and the flooded forest.
Then, cross back and enjoy the unique perspective of seeing the rare Irrawaddy dolphins from your kayak, which is the best way to observe these rare mammals in their natural habitat.
On the way back to Kratie town, pay a visit to Phnom Sombok, famous for its beautiful location amidst two mountain peaks offering scenic views of the Mekong river.

Day 6 Kratie to Phnom Penh, Half Day City Tour.B
After an early breakfast, you will transfer from Kratie to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, enjoy a half-day city tour.
You will take a tuk-tuk ride to visit the Wat Phnom Temple which dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva, followed by the Silver Pagoda which is decorated with about 5000 silver tiles on the floor, and the Royal Palace where the Khmer royal family lives. After that, tour the National Museum where you can see a large collection of Khmer history, arts, and architecture.

1. When is the best time to visit Siem Reap, Cambodia?
The climate in Cambodia is one of the most normal across the country, with the same climate in the south as in the north.
Located in the north of the country, Siem Reap is best visited in the cooler peak season for tourism, which runs from around the beginning of October until around February.
This is the cooler part of the dry season when the temperatures are a little more comfortable for tourism and traveling around the Angkor Archaeological Site.
The period from March to April, which is also dry, can get scorching hot but is still worth traveling for those that do not mind the heat.
The rainy season, which runs generally from May to September, can be too wet for travel for most people, and some roads can become impassable during the monsoon.
2. How to get to Siem Reap?
There are two main ways to get to Siem Reap, though this does depend on where you are coming from.
Siem rap does have its own airport, which has inbound international flights from all over Asia, though none yet from outside Asia.
Flights into the airport from many of the countries inside Asia can be taken to get to Siem Reap, as well as from Phnom Penh International Airport, which has inbound flights from international destinations outside Asia.
Direct flights from Phnom Penh and many of the neighboring countries run daily to Siem Reap.
Alternatively, you can travel overland from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, with buses running the route daily.
You can also travel overland from Bangkok by bus, which takes you across the border into Cambodia and direct to Siem Reap.
3. What to do and how many days are needed to visit Siem Reap?
Siem Reap is a stunning city, though many people think there is little to do there outside the visits to Angkor.
While the Angkor Archaeological Park is one of the most amazing sights in the area, with Siem Reap being known as the Gateway to Angkor, the city itself has a beautiful colonial French Quarter, leftover from the French colonial era in Indochina.
The city also has a number of museums that are well worth visiting, as well as performances of the traditional Apsara Dances, traditional handicrafts and souvenir shops, silk farms, and stunning small fishing villages.
For most people only visiting Angkor, you really should spend at least two days in the site, as it can take time to travel between each of the hundreds of temples in the site.
More days are better. And for those that want to explore the areas around the city, including taking a day trip to the nearby Tonle Sap Lake, an extra couple of days should be added.
4. How far is it from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh?
As the crow flies, it is only around 230 kilometers from Siem reap to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
This trip is best done by flight between the two airports, though you can travel overland between the cities.
The overall distance by road, along the popular and well-used route from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, is actually around 318 kilometers.
The route follows the famous National Highway 6, which runs all the way from Siem reap to Phnom Penh in one single road. Passing first down along the eastern side of Tonle Sap Lake, the road heads the first southeast, then turns south at Kampong Tima, as far as Skun, in Soutib Province.
From there, the road heads roughly southwest and south again after a while, to enter Phnom Penh along the banks of the Mekong River, at Sangkat Ruessei Kaev.
5. Is it safe to travel to Siem Reap alone?
Generally, it is relatively safe to travel alone in Cambodia, and for those traveling alone to Siem Rea, it is no more dangerous than anywhere else in the country.
In fact, with the popularity of the area and the famous Angkor Archeological Site nearby, it is sometimes considered to be the safest part of Cambodia.
Siem Reap is a city where there is a high police presence on the streets, and in general, Cambodia is a country of friendly people and pleasant cultures.
Generally, international tourists, both men, and women are well respected by the people of Siem Reap, and there are very few crimes committed against international travelers in the city.
While it is generally safe to travel alone in Siem Reap, it is advisable to always be safe and behave with care when traveling.
Always keep your valuables out of sight, and keep your money on your person, and your bag with you at all times.
