We have awesome kayaking tour experience, local cuisine, fruit and experience the local way of living. Itinerary arranged professionally. Our guides (Nghia & Ben) are friendly, helpful and have good knowledge. It is one of tours to remember. We are so fortunate our holiday was managed by this company .Definitely will recommend our friends to use their service. (KL)
We had nice 4-days in the Mekong-Delta with great experience. We met very friendly local people and had a great Time. Our Guide Chao was friendly and helpful, show us the Mekong-Delta with the eyes of the people there and gave us also a lot of different Informations about the Delta. It is a tour for people who likes activities with Adventure. :-) and we can recommend it! Thanks for the nice Trip
We went on a 2 days biking and kayaking tour with our guide, Bao (Ben)! We biked for about 30km throughout some very local villages on the first day and then kayaked across the wide Mekong river while watching the most beautiful sunset. Next day again we kayaked in the dark to see the sunrise! It was a perfect balance of kayak and bike and we enjoyed every minute of it very much. Bao took a very good care of us and he was genuinely eager to show us a good time :) He also took a lot of photos and shared them with us! Thanks Bao!
I really enjoyed the experience with Joe. He is a very prepare guide and was a very good company for all the trip, trying to satisfy all our needs. He is so professional and a very kind human being. So I strongly recommend him and his tours. I will come back in the future to visit the north part of Vietnam, and I can't wait to do that in Joe's company.
We did the biking and kayaking day trip and it really was one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Vietnam - it was special seeing the "real" rural Vietnam. Our guide Bao did a really terrific job - he was very attuned to making sure we got the most out of our time and let us improvise and switch up our plan on the fly when we decided we wanted to do more biking. It all felt so wonderfully personalized. In fact, he not only was really engaging and personable but also at no point tried to upsell us anything - in fact, he treated us to coffee, local fruits, and even dessert at local food stops along the way! I also wanted to note that the bikes we got to use were of exceptionally good quality, and the boat that ferried us around was like having a mobile operating base. : ) this was a perfect day and this is the perfect way to see the Mekong Delta.
Cycling and kayaking in the Mekong was one of the highlights of our Vietnam trip. it was worth the extra expense to have a guide just for our group. It allowed us the be more flexible. Our guide was super knowledgeable. We did the cycling in the morning due to low water. That was nice because the kayaking was easier physically. We didn't see any other tourists while cycling. They really get off the beaten path. I especially enjoyed the kayaking. I loved the freedom to move cruise the channels under my own power. If you are in generally good health you will be able to do this. All in all a great day.
We really enjoyed this day trip, we went cycling through villages and the countryside, so nice! Then at lunchtime we helped in preparing the food which was great :) then continued with kayaking on mekong river through canals and passing local boats and just enjoyed some quiet time, it was a wonderful day away from hectic ho chi minh. Thank you Joe!!!
Seven men from New Zealand rode motorcycles up the coast with Joe at the helm. What a good time we all had together and I know Joe is very honest and did more than we expected. I want Joe to do well in the future. All the best from your friends kiwi guys
Great family-friendly experience. We did a one-day kayaking and cycling tour in the Mekong delta area. Everything was accommodated to suit our family and the pace of our 8- and 11-year old boys. We kayaked at a leisurely pace through the canals and saw the beautiful water hyacinths and heard all kinds of birds singing. We had (the most delicious and authentic) lunch at this beautiful family-run little place and had the opportunity to learn how to do do the authentic spring rolls ourselves. The cycling was very interesting, off the beaten path - we saw how people lived, fruit orchards, friendly passers-by, and a tropical environment that was so exotic to us. Our guide Chau was so friendly and patient and very knowledgeable and we look forward seeing him on our next adventure. I recommend this trip for anyone looking for a different experience. We enjoyed it tremendously.
My partner and his sister and I had a perfect day cycling through the Mekong Delta. There were so many things to love about this tour. The first is Chao, our tour guide, who told us lots of information not only about the Dekta but Vietnam and it’s history. We loved the bikes, the cafe start with Vietnamese coffee and mostly the cycling through local pathways. This was the highlight for us. Chao led us through food markets, we chatted with the locals, jumped on a ferry and cycled through more winding paths to an ancient house where we helped make our own lunch with a local family which was delicious! After more cycling we headed back to the private ferry, more cycling then we sadly had to end the day. My only complaint is that I wish we had more time. Chao was the perfect host and left us with the lingering memory of a wonderful day.
Perfect way to see real Vietnam :). I traveled together with my teen son. Everything on trip was as it was described. Not any fancy places, but real and original countryside. We ate every meals same place than where locals also eat.highly recommend this experience.
What a wonderful day we had - kayaking along a peaceful side arm of the Mekong, cycling through lush countryside, learning to make the local spring rolls, cruising along the Mekong on a private boat. Our guide Joe was very experienced and had in depth local knowledge. We certainly went off the beaten track and saw another side to Vietnam. Highly recommended!
The kayaking trip through the Mekong Delta River was absolutely amazing! Lee took us to a local Cafe to try some of the local coffee which has been by far our favourite coffee. We then got to walk through the local market where we were able to have a go at cleaning and cutting a pineapple (which is much harder than it looked). The kayaking was my favourite part of the tour, it was my first time so my partner and Lee had to be extra patient with me but it was super fun. Lunch was really good too, Lee taught us how to make spring rolls and a chillie fish sauce to go with them. Lastly Lee then took us to a coconut candy and pop corn making place where we got to taste some of it freshly made.
My friends and I recently took a trip with Bao, where we went fishing, biking, swimming, and kayaking. The trip was phenomenal - Bao went above and beyond to help us out and make sure we’d had a great experience. I would highly recommend this tour!
My partner and I did the cycling/kayaking one day trip at Mekong Delta. Our tour guide, Ben/Bao, was super friendly and provided lots of information about the area. He took us to an amazing little place for lunch and a break and showed us many things along the bike ride such as the floating markets, introduced us to sugar cane juice and taught us how to make coconut candy. It was a very well organised tour and the day ran smoothly. Highly recommended way to see the Mekong Delta!
We have joined CountrySide Adventures for a Cycling and Kayaking 3-day tour in the Mekong Delta area in Vietnam. On the first day it became clear that the challenge level was higher than we expected. Which we thought was a good thing. We turned out to be somewhat overconfident and found ourselves struggling with the sporting challenges on day two and three. So in my experience CountrySide Adventures not only gives you a real experience because they take you to the real countryside but they also give you a real experience in a sportive challenge.
Fabulous way to explore the real Vietnam - riding amongst tiny villages, being greeted by locals and big “Hello’s” from the school children. Beautiful scenery, great fresh fruit at the floating market, beautiful local lunch. Very friendly easy going guide - great local and historical...
My Dad and I had a great time and it was a huge upgrade on the usual Mekong coach tours on offer. Our guide Chau offered great insight into the river life and we barely encountered another tourist the whole day.
We were looking for an adventure and we definitely found one with Countryside. With a prompt morning pick up from our hotel in District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, we (my girlfriend and I) headed a couple hours out of the city into the Mekong Delta with our guide Chau. We arrived, had Vietnamese coffee, and began our bike ride into the Mekong countryside. Great tour overall and an adventure is an ideal way to spend one day of your vacation. Highly recommended!
This day trip was the highlight of our short visit to Ho Chi Minh City for business. We had time last minute for this trip and Countryside was able to accommodate us. We were specifically looking for a trip where we weren't going to be shuffled around with a bunch of sedentary tourists on a huge bus and Countryside was exactly what we wanted. Le was a fantastic tour guide, explaining so much more about Vietnam to us than just the area we were visiting. We would definitely travel with them again.
This was probably the highlight of our Vietnam holiday. We did the kayak and cycling option which also involved a riverboat ride between the different sites and a lovely meal half way through. Highly recommended.
