Day1: Mekong countryside cycling – 45km.                                                                         L/D

Morning, Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Ben Tre province (Mekong Delta) approximately 1, 5 hours.

We start our cycling adventure into the heart of the rural Mekong countryside.

While pedaling along the narrow lanes, passing through banana plantation, fruit gardens, and coconut palms we will pass through the lush green landscape of the delta providing you with the real experience the countryside.

We take some local ferries crossing several canals and rivers for an amazing cycling day meeting with locals.

After we’ve thoroughly burned through some calories we will stop and have lunch at local restaurant with some special Mekong food.

Later we continue cycling to another local ferry where we will cross the Mekong River to ride to Tra Vinh.

In the late afternoon, we check in the hotel and relax or hang around the town. WE end our day with dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Tra Vinh.

Day 2: Tra Vinh – Can Tho – cycling 80km.                                                                             B/L

Morning, after having breakfast we start cycling from the hotel to Ao Ba Om pond, this large, square pond surrounded by tall trees is a pleasing place for a stroll. It’s a spiritual site for the Khmers and a picnic and drinking spot for local Vietnamese. It would have once served as a bathing pond for the 10th-century Angkor-era temple that was situated here.

Pay a visit to the oldest Khmer temple in the delta and learn about the local Theravada Buddhist community that has resided in the Mekong Delta since the 10th-century.

Keep riding through Kho’me (Khmer) villages, which today are mostly rice paddies which stretch as far as you can see. Lunch en-route, then cycling until our minivan picks us up and transfers to Can Tho City. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 3: Floating Market kayaking.                                                                                              B/L

Today we wake up early in the morning for a short transfer to Cai Rang, the biggest floating market in the area, where we’ll experience the river life by kayak. You can see up-close the real activities of the locals living on the river for hundred years.

It’s also a chance to have breakfast or simply enjoy a cup of coffee by the floating market.

Fishing the boat trip, then we will take a long tail boat to cruise deeper into Mekong countryside to see daily activities of the locals in the morning.

Finish the boat trip at noon, then we stop at locals’ residence for lunch before transfer back to Ho Chi Minh in the afternoon ending our Mekong countryside trip.
